Provisional Members
A provisional member is a youth member who is attending Scouts for their trail period.
The trail period is set at 6 weeks.
The trail period does not account for Public Holidays, School holidays (except for Christmas period - see below) or the member not turning up.
Approval - Provisional Status
Once the Group Leader / Leader In Charge Approves the member in ScoutLink, the trail period has begun.
The member has 42 days to become a full member of Scouts or the member is automatically resigned from ScoutLink.
This is an example of the timeline
At approximately 14 days remaining of the trail period, reminder emails are sent to the member and the Group Leader / Leader In Charge.
