There are a few different ways your Group Leader or Scouts NSW IT can help you resolve this:
1) Share the document with you directly from Sharepoint so it can stay secure (giving you access to that particular document, but not the site in general).
2) If you have an Appointment in Scoutlink that should have access but it's not working for you - check your Appointment details are correct and up to date in Scoutlink. If they are - email the IT Helpdesk to log a ticket and they will resolve the issue for you.
3) If you require regular, on-going access to the Group's Leader & Committee Hub across more than one document, request access from Scouts NSW IT and we will assist.
